CES 2012 coverage part 1

After years of work and a few false starts, Intel is finally ready to take the plunge into the smartphone market. At the CES keynote tonight, the CPU giant is officially launching Medfield, the 32nm smartphone SoC it's built to take it into the next generation of smartphones (and a few tablets). The chip---now officially named the Atom Z2460--is ready for primetime...

Digital Experience is a great event held every year the night before CES. This event brings many different companies together so they can showcase just a few products they are going to be showing at CES. This event is also a lot of fun because each year it is themed; the theme this year was the wild west. Read on as we show you some cool new products from Logitech, Western Digital, fitbit, GoPro, TRENDnet, Parrot, AMD, Nvidia and much more!

Today at CES 2012 we spent time with AMD, getting briefed on their latest technologies for mobile and desktop platforms. On display and in action was their upcoming Trinity Fusion APU for notebooks, Android 4.0 on an AMD-driven (X86) tablet from MSI, new mobile GPUs based on their 28nm Graphics Core Next architecture and even a little something to take on Intel called, interestingly enough, "Lightning Bolt."

CES has officially started and despite what you might hear the place is packed, For some reason traffic on the strip and surrounding areas is considerably less than it has been in the past but there is no shortage of warm bodies roaming the Convention Center halls.

"This year at CES Thermaltake had quite a lot to show us. We all loved the Level 10 GT and now they have the Level 10 GTS, which is a smaller version of the case. Thermaltake is also launching a new line called “Chao” which is focused on style, they showed us quite a few different Chao products. One of the coolest things at the Thermaltake suite was a custom modded Level 10 GT that had a “Mayan” theme. Read on to see what all Thermaltake had to show us this year at CES 2012!"

This year at CES 2012, GIGABYTE showed off their latest upcoming Z77 motherboards supporting the next-generation 22nm Ivy Bridge processors from Intel.
