HTC to use more NVIDIA Tegra chips

Posted on Thursday, February 09 2012 @ 21:48:52 CET by

DigiTimes heard HTC is planning to increase its purchases of NVIDIA's Tegra 3 SoCs:
As High Tech Computer (HTC) has adjusted its product strategy and is expected to increase it purchasing of Nvidia Tegra series processors, Nvidia is expected to see its quad-core Tegra 3 processor shipments increase obviously in the first half of 2012.

Currently, HTC still mainly adopts solutions from Qualcomm, but as the company is adjusting its strategy, while graphics output of smartphones is becoming important, HTC's increasing cooperation with Nvidia will allow Nvidia to gain the ability to compete against Qualcomm.
