AMD Radeon HD 7800 specifications arrive

The specifications of AMD's Radeon HD 7850 and Radeon HD 7870 were leaked today by Expreview. These cards will fill in the sub-$300 segment of the market, the Radeon HD 7870 will get 2GB GDDR5 while the Radeon HD 7850 will be available in 1GB and 2GB GDDR5 flavors. Additionally, there's also a rumor floating around that AMD may add a Radeon HD 7890 based on the Tahiti core should the need arise.

  • 88 TMUs, 24 ROPs (de-linked from memory bus)
  • 2 GB GDDR5 memory, 256-bit bus
  • 950 MHz Core Clock
  • 1375 MHz (5.50 GHz effective) memory clock

    AMD Radeon HD 7850
  • 20 CUs 1280 GCN Stream processors
  • 80 TMUs, 24 ROPs (de-linked from memory bus)
  • 1 GB or 2GB GDDR5 memory, 256-bit bus
  • 900 MHz Core Clock
  • 1250 MHz (5.00 Ghz effective) memory clock
