Google: 850,000 Android devices activated per day

DailyTech reports Google is now seeing 850,000 Android device activations per day!
Google, which developed the popular Android operating system for mobile devices, made its way to MWC with new devices, apps and facts to share. For instance, Google said that 850,000 new Android devices are activated daily, and the total number of Android devices around the globe has surpassed 300 million. The year-on-year growth rate of Android devices has been more than 250 percent.

Google is also showing off over 100 devices at MWC, including smartphones and tablets, as well as new apps like Android Beam, which allows users to share content via touching two Android phones back-to-back. According to Google, there are over 450,000 apps available for Android-powered devices.
