Optware has presented a Holographic Versatile Card (HVC) with a storage capacity of 30GB. The card is much faster and smaller than DVD discs. The company says its HVC cards are three times faster than the next-generation Blu-Ray DVD discs and they are only the size of a credit card.

The price of the Holographic Versatile Cards is $1 a piece but the card readers are still very expensive as they go for about $2000.

Optware also has Holographic Versatile Disc (HVD) with a storage capacity of one terabyte (1024GB) and a transfer speed of one gigabyte per second.
