NVIDIA GK104 reportedly has 3.54 billion transistors

German tech site 3DCenter delivers news that NVIDIA's GK104 (GeForce GTX 680) reportedly packs 3.54 billion transistors in a 294mm² die. The chip is significantly smaller than the 520mm² GeForce GTX 580, and the transistor density is over twice as high.
