Intel Valleyview 2 Atom clockspeeds revealed

Posted on Wednesday, March 28 2012 @ 20:38:58 CEST by

VR Zone reveals more details about Valleyview 2, Intel's upcoming Atom chip, you can find all the details over here.
Let's start with clock speeds, the standard SKU will be clocked at up to 1.9GHz, but as is the case, there should be a few different models here, but as far as we're aware this is what Intel is targeting the quad core models to be clocked at. At this speed they should hit a TDP of around 10W, i.e. the same as the current D2700 desktop Atom processor which is a dual core, Hyper Threaded part. The graphics core should be clocked at up to 667MHz, slightly faster than the D2700, but only at about half the speed of an Ivy Bridge graphics core which Valleyview 2 is claimed to be incorporating.
