Skype released version 1.3 of its VoIP and instant messaging client with new features such as Skype Voicemail. The application allows users to leave a voicemail message for a Skype account, similar to a telephone voicemail.

This features first appeared in a beta version of Skype but is now released officially. The beta version has more than 40,000 users and Skype Voicemail is now launched as Skype's second premium service. It will cost 5EUR for three months, or 15EUR for a year.
A beta version for a third premium service, called SkypeIn, was launched simultaneously with Skype Voicemail last April, but remains in the testing stage for now.
Skype has more than 42 million registered users and claims to get about 150,000 new users a day.
