Sony was originally going to cooperate with AU Optronics (AUO) on large-size OLED panels but AUO has stated that it wants to focus more on the 32-inch segment and that it will not have large-size OLED products until the end of the year, added the sources.
While there is yet to be an official statement by Sony and Samsung, the two companies have already worked together on small and medium-sized panels when Sony's PS Vita came out in late 2011 featuring a 5-inch AMOLED panel, which makes future cooperation very promising, according to the sources.
