Asian tech site Coolaler published photos of Gigabyte's GeForce GTX 680 Super Overclock WindForce 5X, which uses a new cooling solution with a dense aluminium heatsink array, nine 6mm heatpipes, a coper plate that covers the GPU core and memory, and five 40mm fans. Pricing and availability is unknown.
The fans are setup a bit differently this time around, instead of blowing air at the heatsink array it instead sucks the air away from the heatsink and blows it towards the side panel. To supply power to the GPU, Gigabyte is using a 6pin + 8pin PCIe power connector setup instead of the reference design's dual-6pin connectors. Rounding out the design, Gigabyte chose to utilize a strong PCB with Proselytizer film capacitors for a durable product. The display outputs consist of two DVI, an HDMI, and one Displayport. Gigabyte will also utlize their dual BIOS technology which combined with this Ultra Durable VGA should make enthusiasts happy.
