Sources at graphics card makers told DigiTimes that the shortage of 28nm graphics cards from AMD and NVIDIA should see improvement in late May:
AMD and Nvidia, impacted by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company's (TSMC's) fully-booked capacity, had rather weak shipment performance in the first quarter; however, as more capacity will be gradually released by TSMC, shortages of 28nm graphics cards are expected to improve in late May, according to sources from graphics card makers.

In addition to the recently announced GeForce GTX 690, Nvidia is also set to release GeForce GTX 670 and GeForce 610 in May and June, while AMD is set to reduce its Radeon HD 7000 series graphics cards' prices to counter Nvidia's attack.
