With a preconfigured RAID 5 array on four disks, and automatic backups for up to 10 PCs and three Macs, the 4big Rack Office is a secure vault for company files. It automates backups of computers, from individual files – even open ones – to the entire system. With real-time, anywhere system monitoring and status console alerts, the administrator can easily ensure that all computers are backed up regularly.
The 4big Rack Office supports secured RAID 1 and RAID 5 modes for automatic, software-level protection. If a single disk fails, simply replace it without losing a single byte of data. For an additional level of data protection, the administrator can back up data to an offsite NAS. With Wuala, LaCie's secure cloud storage service, critical files are easily backed up in the cloud.
