The Tech Report shot a photo of one of MSI's MPower motherboards, a new motherboard series that will extend warranty coverage to overclockers.
The length of the warranty will vary by region, and it won't be any longer than what's offered for standard models. However, any damage incurred while overclocking will be covered. MSI is doing its own overclocking testing on the boards to ensure they're up to snuff. MPower boards will be subjected to 24 hours of burn-in testing in an overclocked configuration. This testing will be conducted with a water-cooled CPU and no airflow around the power regulation circuitry. In addition to overclocking coverage, the MPower boards will feature more extensive fan speed controls via new Control Center software.
