A small group of adult video makers plans to launch adult video content for the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP). The content will be distributed on UMD discs, the special disc format used by the PSP to play games and video.
'We regulate the development of games with adult content by adopting our own format. But as for videos, the responsibility for content is left to the developers,' the business daily quoted an unidentified official of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc as saying.
Since the launch of the PSP last year in Japan Sony has sold more than 1.09 million PSP consoles worldwide. But many European users are still waiting to get their hands on the PSP as Sony decided to postpone the European launch in order to provide enough quantity for the North American launch.
