Sapphire shows off its next-gen vapor chamber tech for CPUs

Posted on Tuesday, June 12 2012 @ 16:56:50 CEST by

Bright Side of News received a demonstration of Sapphire's next-gen vapor chamber cooling technology that will be used for CPU coolers. The firm's upcoming product will combine heatpipes and vapor chamber base, capable of dissipating 200W of heat.
While we are going to cover digital signage in a separate story, the entrance in CPU cooling business is a surprise. For the company, it was perfectly normal to expand the vapor chamber technology from the GPU to the CPU cooling business, as Sapphire has "plenty of experience in cooling down the demanding ASICs".
