DigiTimes received notice that Apple has made small revisions to its latest iPad, including a larger lens hole and further measures to combat overheating problems. The sources say the revised version is anticipated to be released around the holiday season.
The sources said the new iPad's battery is being revised, which will help prevent overheating issues and could possibly make the device slightly lighter and thinner than previously designed. However, no comments were offered as to why the lens is being enlarged.

Sources also noted that Sharp is preparing two million units for its IGZO panels in July, which is closing in the gap in orders Sharp is receiving compared with leading panel makers Samsung Display and LG Display. The increased shipments show rising demand for the iPad along with preparation for the new revised iPad's release, said sources.
