Hexus reports HTC is working on a fast mystery device that seems about as fast as the iPad 3, while featuring a 1794 x 1080 pixel resolution, indicating that the device features Android navigation buttons.
The SoC involved was a Qualcomm MSM8960, running at 1.5GHz. With a significant boost in performance over HTC's One X, which features a standard MSM8960, it's not unreasonable to draw the conclusion that this device features the MSM8960T Pro Series, which integrates the Adreno 320 graphics core.

From this we can speculate that this device may very well be a 1080p smartphone or mini-tablet, as opposed to a full-blown tablet device. The MSM8960T CPU remains dual-core for low-power usage and this chip features an integrated 4G LTE modem. We would have expected to see either the APQ8064 or MPQ8064 quad-cores in future tablet devices.
