Dell debuts new 27-inch IPS screen

Dell introduced the UltraSharp U2713HM, a new 27" AH-IPS-based LCD display with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution and LED backlight. The advanced high performance IPS technology promises better color reproduction and higher clarity, while consuming less power than traditional IPS screens.

The U2713HM has a 350 nits brightness, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 178-degree viewing angles and a power consumption of just 42W. The display features VGA, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, it includes a four-port USB 3.0 hub, and it's stand supports swiveling, tilting and rotating.

Currently the U2713HM is only available in Japan, pricing is about the equivalent of 515EUR.
