Arctic Cooling teases the Accelero Twin Turbo 690, an upcoming cooling solution for NVIDIA's dual-GPU GeForce GTX 690. This new cooler is designed to handle a heat load of up to 400W, it features two copper bases, ten heatpipes with a diameter of 6mm and 86 aluminium fins (0.4mm thick) that are cooled by two 120mm PWM fans that run between 400 - 1500RPM.

The cooler measures 288mm x 138mm x 50mm (L x W x H) and weighs 805g. It's only compatible with the GeForce GTX 690 and according to Arctic Cooling it provides 26 better cooling performance for the GPU and 24 percent lower temperatures for the RAM, bridge and VR, while being 13x quieter than NVIDIA's stock cooler.

Arctic Cooling states on its website that the Accelero Twin Turbo 690 keeps the card at 72°C (at 1500RPM), while NVIDIA's stock cooler delivers 84°C (at 3000RPM). The rated noise level for Arctic's cooler is 0.4 Sone, significantly less than the 5.3 Sone of the stock cooler.

The Accelero Twin Turbo 690 will start shipping on September 10th for $169.95. Quite a hefty price tag but you do get a 6-year warranty, although this is probably not a big selling point considering that even a flagship graphics card is outdated much sooner than that.

Main features:
  • Unique mounting for GTX 690
  • Unmatched cooling performance - 400 Watts
  • 2 ultra quiet 120mm PWM fans with low noise impeller
  • 10 heatpipes and 86 fins for efficient heat dissipation
  • RAM and voltage regulator cooling
  • SLI compatible
