It's been a while since OCZ introduced its last power supply, these days the company is focused solely on solid state disk solutions but today their PC Power & Cooling unit rolls out the Silencer Mk III 1200W. This 1200W power supply features 80Plus Platinum rating, meaning it runs at an efficiency of at least 92% at 50 percent load.

The unit features a single +12V rail that delivers up to 99.5A and is cooled by a silent 140mm double ball-bearing fan. The cables are semi-modular, the motherboard cables and the six 6+2 pin PCI Express power connectors are fixed to the unit, while the other cables use a round pin-style modular plug. The company offers a 7-year warranty on this power supply. Pricing is unknown.
OCZ Technology Group, Inc., (Nasdaq:OCZ) a leading provider of high-performance solid-state drives (SSDs) and power management solutions for computing devices and systems, today unveiled the Silencer Mk III 1200W Power Supply from PC Power & Cooling.
