A leaked Intel Atom roadmap reveals quad-core 22nm Atom models won't arrive until late 2013 at the earliest. Current desktop and mobile "Cedar Trail" models won't be replaced by new platforms until Q4 2013, when the Silvermont architecture arrives in the form of the Bay Trail platform with the 22nm Valleyview SoCs.

Valleyview will be available in single, dual and quad-core versions, with clockspeeds estimated to range from 1.4GHz to 2.4GHz. Each core has 512KB L2 cache at its disposal and there will be SKUs with single and dual-channel memory support. Intel Gen 7 integrated graphics are included, as well as four PCIe 2.0 lanes, USB 3.0 and 2.0, SATA, LAN, audio and more. Further details can be found in the slides at German tech site Computer Base.
