FUD Zilla heard rumors that Intel plans to introduce the SSD 525 lineup of 25nm MLC disks in Q4 2012. These disks will ship in 30GB, 120GB, 180GB and 240GB capacities. The chip giant reportedly dropped the 60GB and 480GB editions from this refresh.

The site also heard that the 20nm MLC followup of the 525 series will arrive in Q2 2013. Little details are known about these SSDs, except that they will come with Opal hardware encryption and SATA 6Gbps support.
