ASUS showed off some of its design concepts at the 2012 Taiwan Designer's Week. Engadget was invited and spotted a piece of art named "Palette", it consists of a circle of 50 overlapping Nexus 7 tablet back covers, each with a different shade of grey, from light to dark. According to ASUS, all of these concepts were actually used in the development of the Google Nexus 7.

On top of that, ASUS also showed off some parts of the design process of the company's PadFone, Zenbook, Transformer Prime and other devices, as well as experiments with various materials including cardboard, mesh, wire, foil, and even cement. One of the curious items ASUS presented at its booth were cement eggs and cement speakers, but it's safe to say that such products will never be released and are nothing more than designers playing around a bit.
