BioWare co-founders take up early retirement

Game designer BioWare co-founders Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka announced they will leave the studio they founded nearly 20 years ago. They will also take leave from their positions at parent company EA, and exit the game industry. Both will enjoy an early retirement, Muzyka has philanthropy plans, while Zeschuk will devote himself to projects related to craft beer.

BioWare was acquired by EA in 2007, and it seems the name can now be added to the list of game developers ruined by EA: Bullfrog, Westwood, Maxis, Origin, Criterion, Mythic, Pandemic, Origin, etc. No new games are in development by BioWare, and with the founders gone it's safe to say that this marks the end of BioWare.

Further details can be read at BioWare.
