Apacer introduces a new line of CFast memory cards, they support SATA 3Gbps and promise maximum read speeds of up to 160MB/s.
When it comes to the ever-evolving core technologies of embedded systems, data transmission efficiency and speed are the main targets for improvement. Apacer, one of the world’s top ten PC SSD manufacturers, has introduced a new CFast memory card to support the SATA II 3Gb/s high-speed transmission mode. After winning customers’ favor, Apacer has now upgraded the capacity and speed of their industrial CFast memory cards. Additionally, these cards come in MLC solutions and support extended operating temperatures. Apacer’s latest industrial CFast card, features a peak reading speed of 160MB/s, breaking the speed limits of the CF cards currently used by industrial enterprises. This speed is three times faster than typical industrial CF cards, dramatically promoting file transmission efficiency, making it one of the best storage solutions for high performance computing systems.

The newly launched CFCard is based on the CFast specification V1.0, it combines the Form Factor of existing CompactFlash cards with the adoption of the 7pin SATA signal, 17pin power supply, and reserves additional space for special functions. Thus, the read/write speed is boosted up to 160/140 Mbytes per second, realizing the transmission efficiency of a SATA interface. Whether using industry-level, highly-reliable SLC chips or cost-effective MLC solutions, Apacer’s CFast cards always boast a resistance to extended operating temperatures (-40°C to 85°C), and are available in capacities of 64GB(SLC) and 128GB(MLC), satisfying the requirements of large capacity and high-efficiency embedded high-performance computing systems.

In terms of product endurance, this SSD supports the ECC function, which minimizes potential errors led by frequent data access to enhance the accuracy and integrity of data. In addition, for data security, the Apacer CFast card uses the Secure Erase command to completely clear the data in the storage blocks, effectively protecting the data from disclosure.

For these industrial-grade CFast memory cards, Apacer highlights that firmware and major components of the products can be arranged upon customer’s recognition and verification This reduces the risk of out-of-stock and compatibility issues by offering a stable supply and high reliability to customers.
