Google introduces Android 4.2, a new flavor of Jelly Bean that introduces a smarter keyboard with Gesture Typing, multi-user support (for tablets), support for wireless streaming, a new notification menu, and Photo Sphere. The latter feature is the eyecatcher of Android 4.2, it enables users to snap pictures in every direction and automatically stitches everything together to create a panorama that can be published to Google Maps. Guess this is Google's answer to the new Panorama camera mode in Apple's iOS 6.
Up, down and all around you, it’s like no camera you’ve ever seen. With Android 4.2, snap pictures in every direction that come together into incredible, immersive photo spheres that put you right inside the scene. View your photo spheres right on your phone, share them on Google+ with your friends and family, or even add them to Google Maps for the world to see.
