A year ago AMD showed off Radeon branded DDR3 memory modules, and now the company is seeking to extend the Radeon brand to solid state disks. Semi Accurate says it's a pure marketing decision that will hopefully pull in some hard-needed cash.

It's unknown who will make these disks, but I wouldn't expect much more than rebadged SSD lineup as AMD just doesn't have the resources to deliver a truly unique SSD product.
