Acer said to be working on $99 tablet

The Tech Report came across a rumor that Acer is preparing a $99 Android-based tablet. Named Iconia B1, the 7" tablet is anticipated to hit the market in early 2013.

It has a 1024 x 600 pixel screen and a 1.2GHz dual-core ARM-based processor. The only caveat is that it's aimed at emerging markets, it's unknown if it will be sold in the West.
