Samsung Series 7 Chronos 15.6-inch notebook gets Full HD screen

Samsung introduces a new Windows 8 laptop and a new ultrabook with Full HD resolutions. A resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels is what should have been standard years ago, but it's nice to see we're finally moving on from the paltry 1366 x 768 that's found on way to many laptops.

The new Series 7 Chronos (770Z5E) 15.6" laptop features a 10-point multi-touch screen, the system measures 376mm x 249.9mm x 20.9mm and weighs 2.35kg. You get an Intel Core i7 3635QM (2.4GHz) processor, AMDRadeon HD 8870M graphics, 4/8GB DDR3 (max 16GB), up to 1TB HDD, 2x 4W JBL stereo speakers, an 720p HD webcam, two USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, and a backlit-keyboard.

The Series 7 Ultra on the other hand is a 13.3" ultrabook with optional 10-finger multitouch. This system measures 324mm x 224mm x 17.5mm (18.9mm for the touch model) and weighs 1.46kg (1.65kg for the touch version). Processor options include the Intel Core i7/i5 ULV, you get AMD Radeon HD 8570M graphics, up to 16GB DDR3, up to 256GB SSD, 2x 2X JBL stereo speakers, 720p HD webcam, one USB 3.0 port, two uSB 2.0 ports, HDMI, and a backlit keyboard.

New Series 7 Chronos – Professional, Powerful Performer
Delivering professional performance in a thinner and lighter form factor, the new Series 7 Chronos provides enhanced processing power for professional users and a new software solution RAMaccelerator**** that provides up to a 150 percent increase in speed for browsing and running apps by taking advantage of the existing memory. Ten-finger multi-touch capabilities enhance the overall experience, allowing the user to interact directly with the screen, as well as the touchpad and keyboard.
