Android 4.x marketshare closes in on 40 percent mark

The latest Google Android Dashboard update shows Android 4.x is closing in on approaching a marketshare of 40 percent in the Android market. All 4.x versions combined now have a marketshare of 39.2%.

Gingerbread remains the most-used Android version though, all 2.3.x versions combined still command a marketshare of 47.6 percent, and Android 2.2 "Froyo" is still used by 9.0 percent of users.
