TPU updates us that Intel has released two new dual-core ULV processors; the Core i5-3439Y and Core i7-3689Y.

Based on the 22nm Ivy Bridge processors, these new chips take low power to a new level by offering a TDP of only 13W! The Core i5-3439Y has a 1.5GHz core clockspeed, 2.3GHz Turbo, Hyper-Threading, 3MB L3 cache and a SDP (scenario driven power) of only 7W.

The Core i7-3689 on the other hand has the same 1.5GHz clockspeed, a Turbo boost of 2.6GHz, and a 4MB L3 cache. All other features are identical between these two chips.

The only downside is the high price, these new CPUs are priced at $250 and $362, respectively.
