Mushkin announced it started shipping a 960GB Chronos SATA 6Gbps SSD. No word about the price though.
The newest addition to the Chronos line of SSDs offers 960GB of space, almost double the storage capacity of typical 2.5?inch form factor drives. The much higher storage capacity, combined with the performance and reliability benefits of an SSD, make the 960GB Chronos an ideal choice for disk intensive applications like workstations and servers.

"With the growing demand for higher capacity and higher performance storage, we are excited to now offer our Chronos SSD in an industry?leading size, and continue our commitment to meeting market needs," said Brian Flood, Director of Product Development at Mushkin. "For CAD, animation or similar applications where speed and space are key, the new 960GB high?capacity Chronos SSD really shines."
In related news, Mushkin also announced it now has a line of 1.8" Chronos SATA 6Gbps SSD, shipping in capacities of 40GB, 60GB, 90GB, 120GB, 180GB, 240GB and 480GB. Pricing is unknown.
The new line of 1.8?inch Chronos SSDs feature a smaller, lighter footprint than the previous generation, and offer performance and reliability improvements for power users. Originally designed as an enterprise?class drive, the new Chronos SSD has been adapted and re?engineered to deliver the highest possible storage capacity in a drive that is optimized for high?performance and ultimate reliability, even in the most demanding 24x7 environments.

"Mushkin continues to push the envelope with higher performance, higher capacity and higher reliability products, and the new line of 1.8?inch Chronos SATA III (6Gbps) SSDs is just one example," said Brian Flood, Director of Product Development at Mushkin. "With these improvements, the new drives are very well?suited for professionals and for solution providers in demanding environments like digital signage, healthcare and point?of?sale."
