51 million new Internet users in China in 2012

Yahoo News reports there were 51 million new Internet users in China last year, adding up to a total userbase of 564 million.

The China Internet Network Information Center reports a large number of China's Internet users go online via mobile devices, wireless Internet use via mobile phones, tablets and other devices rose 18.1 percent last year to 420 million.
