MSI announced it's bundling 3DMark Advanced Edition with some of its graphics cards and motherboards:
The world’s leading brand in mainboard and graphics cards, MSI and the renowned system performance testing software company Futuremark, together release a new generation of 3D performance testing software 3DMark; the overclocking heat wave will again sweep the globe. MSI is the exclusive sponsor of the Fire Strike demo, the showpiece of the new 3DMark and a stunning demonstration of what high performance DirectX 11 gaming PCs can do. MSI will bundle selected MSI graphics cards - MSI N660 TF 2GD5/OC and MSI R7950 TF 3GD5/OC BE - and the MSI Z77 MPOWER mainboard with the 3DMark Advanced Edition during this winter. To celebrate the launch of 3DMark and the bundle, MSI starts the ‘MSI 3DMark Challenge’, an overclocking competition based on MSI’s top-overclocking mainboard MSI Z77 MPOWER, hosted on http://hwbot.org.

Thanks in part to the MSI sponsorship, Futuremark says that the 3DMark Basic Edition will be free to download on all platforms. What's more, the 3DMark Advanced Edition, worth $24.99, will be bundled exclusively with selected MSI graphics cards and mainboards. Bundle details may very per country.

3DMark - one benchmark for all your hardware and devices
The new 3DMark includes everything you need to benchmark your hardware. With three all new tests you can bench everything from smartphones and tablets, to notebooks and home PCs, to the latest high-end, multi-GPU gaming desktops. And it's not just for Windows. With 3DMark you can compare your scores with Android and iOS devices too. It's our best benchmark ever.

“MSI is proud to, once again, cooperate with Futuremark on delivering a new and defining graphical benchmark with 3DMark", says Charles Jiang, MSI Corp. Executive Vice President & DPS General Manager. "The new "Fire Strike" benchmark shows exactly how far today's gaming PC real-time graphics have improved to a point where it not only rivals, but also surpasses the quality of pre-rendered movies and has far more complexity than today’s leading DirectX 11 games. The cooperation on the "Fire Strike" benchmark for high performance Windows gaming PC's is a continuation of our efforts in delivering the best Windows gaming performance with our current 3DMark 11 record holding combination of the Z77 MPOWER mainboard and R7970 Lightning graphics card.”

MSI 3DMark Challenge
In order for global overclocking professionals to be able to compete against each other first-hand, MSI will hold an online overclocking competition, “MSI 3DMark Challenge”, for a duration of five weeks, starting from January 21st 2013, by using MSI mainboards and graphics cards to compete in the most representative DirectX 11 scene in 3DMark– Fire Strike. The competition will be divided into two parts: the top two challengers using MSI Z77 MPOWER for the competition with the highest scores will each win great items such as the MSI R7970 Lightning Boost Edition graphics card and the Z77A-GD80 mainboard. The Z77A-GD55 Lucky Draw activity is opened to all challengers using MSI mainboards. To enter the Lucky Draw activity, all you have to do is upload your scores before February 24th. For detailed information concerning the competition and rules please refer to the following website: http://hwbot.org/competition/msi_3dmark_challenge.
