Legit Reviews reports AMD marketing manager Robert Hallock revealed on Twitter that the Radeon HD 7000 series will remain AMD's primary focus for quite some time.

Legit Reviews asked Hallock for more details and received the following message:
"Yes, I made that comment. I cannot say anything more than what I’ve already said, really. AMD and its partners are happy with the HD 7000 Series, and it will continue to be our emphasis in the channel for the foreseeable future. I should note that HD 8000 Series has never been so much as hinted at for a channel release. Anything to the contrary is an unsubstantiated rumor fabricated to drive traffic." - Robert Hallock
I guess this somewhat confirms the rumors that AMD's next-gen graphics cards may not arrive until Q4 2013. According to the rumor mill, we may only see an official Radeon HD 7990 introduction in the coming weeks/months, but NVIDIA isn't expeced to have much new either except the uber-expense GeForce Titan 780.
