TPU published some photos of the new High Current Pro Platinum Grid power supplies from ASUS. This is a new "smart" PSU that rivals the Corsair AXi lineup, it plugs into your motherboard via a USB port and enables you to monitor and log the unit's efficiency, power delivery, rails, temperature and fan speeds via the Antec Grid software.
It lets you override the unit's fan-speed curve, and monitor temperature over four sensors, reading from four key zones of the unit. Innards of these 80 Plus Platinum-certified PSUs are otherwise identical to the High Current Pro Platinum series launched last year, and are available in identical high-Wattage variants: 750W, 850W, 1000W, 1200W, and 1300W. These PSUs feature fully modular cabling, the 750W variant is ideal for gaming PC builds with up to two graphics cards, the 850W and 1000W three, and the others four.
