Spire largely makes low-budget cases but the company seems poised to get a slice of the higher-end case market with its X2 brand. Tweakers reports the Dutch company showed off the X2 6017 case at Computex, a new model made from aluminium. The exterior of the case is black, while the interior is plain aluminium. The case has four 5.25" drive bays, a side I/O panel, room for an ATX motherboard, seven expansion slots, and four 3.5" storage trays. The X2 6017 will be marketed as a silent case, it includes preinstalled noise dampening foam and extra noise dampening foam is included with the case. Shipments start in July, the case has a MSRP of around 90EUR.
