Cooler Master adds 450W and 550W Silent Pro Gold PSUs

Posted on Monday, July 15 2013 @ 19:51:08 CEST by

Cooler Master adds two new members to its Silent Pro Gold series; a 450W and 550W model. Pricing is 59.99EUR and 69.99EUR, respectively.
Cooler Master is proud to announce two new wattages to round out the Silent Pro Gold Series of Power Supplies, 450W and 550W. With these additions, the Silent Pro Gold Series now fully caters to the broad needs of both mainstream and enthusiast users.

Design
Built for uncompromised quality and consistency, even at low wattages, the Silent Pro Gold Series utilizes a single powerful 12V rail to deliver clean and efficient power to your system. This power efficiency extends to 90% or more on all Silent Pro Gold Series power supplies. The new 450W and 550W models deliver up to 35A to power high-end components like the latest 4, 6, or 8 core processors and powerful graphics cards. High quality Japanese capacitors results in better hold up times. With this, Silent Pro Gold Series can handle peak loads better than ever before by delivering power with minimal interruptions. The 120mm fan makes use of a long lasting Two Ball Bearing. This increases overall fan lifespan and protects critical power supply components. Leaving nothing to chance, this protection is strengthened by a comprehensive set of world-class safety measures.

Quick Setup and Maintenance
Needs differ between systems and a hybrid modular cable setup allows the user to determine what is critical to their setup. This individualized approach provides for easier management of cables and opens the door for a novice builder to put together a professional cable routing look with less overall effort. Maintenance and upgrades on the main power supply unit become easier as only a couple hardwired connections need to be disconnected. Upgrade from one wattage to another by simply detaching all of the modular cables from the power supply and remove the few non-modular cables to replace it with another, more powerful, unit in the Silent Pro Gold Series. Modular cables provide the convenience of being flattened to provide users with ample length and clearance to reach parts throughout a case.
