Gigabyte to launch two cell phones

DigiTimes reports motherboard maker Gigabyte will introduce two Gigabyte-branded cell phones in Taiwan on July 20.

The first model will be the G-X5 and the second will be a PDA phone. Both phones will feature content and applications exclusively designed for the local market in Taiwan.

The company hopes to capture five percent of the Taiwanese handset market by the end of this year.
