Which games you need to master to become a pro-gamer

Posted on Friday, August 02 2013 @ 11:35:35 CEST by

Business Insider takes a look at the best games for professional gamers, you can read it over here. It seems StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm is the big daddy of professional games as nearly every gaming league has events dedicated to this game. League of Legends is another game with a huge eSports scene, as well as Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Dota 2, World of Tanks and good old Warcraft III. Other games on the list include Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, Quake Live, FIFA 14, and Cross Fire.
In fact, a number of gamers are already making six-figure incomes from their winnings alone - not counting lucrative salaries from joining teams, winning contests and gaining sponsorships. Where does a gamer who's intrigued by the idea of playing for real money start?

We've gone through the event lists of some of the largest gaming competitions in the world to find out. No matter what kind of game you're into, there's probably something you'll find that's to your liking. What's more, many of the games are free-to-play.
