ASUS Transformer Book Trio is a desktop, laptop and tablet all in one

ASUS shows off the Transformer Book Trio, an innovative design that offers three form factors into one. The 11.6" Trio has a IPS LCD display with 1080p HD resolution and not only offers laptop and tablet functionality but also doubles as a desktop PC. The tablet part uses an Intel Atom Z2760 processor, it runs Android and has up to 64GB eMMC storage and a 19.5Whr battery. The removable keyboard on the other hand features an Intel Core i5/i7 Haswell series processor, Windows 8, up to 1TB HDD and a 33Whr battery.

One of the interesting features of this product is that the tablet and the keyboard dock can be used simultaneously - the keyboard dock can be connected to an external display to transform it into a desktop PC. The keyboard dock offer 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0 while the tablet half supports 802.11n and Bluetooth 3.0. The keyboard has a USB 3.0 connector while the tablet has a mini-USB 2.0 port.

Battery life is said to be 13 hours for the tablet but only five hours for the notebook. Pricing and availability is unknown.
