DigiTimes heard rumors that NVIDIA is planning to cut prices of its GPUs in late November to better compete with the new GPUs from AMD. Additionally, NVIDIA is also anticipated to introduce one or two new GPUs in the $149 to $249 segment.
AMD has announced its latest GPUs, the Radeon R9 and R7 series (Volcanic Islands), priced between US$89-299 and the GPUs are expected to bring pressure on Nvidia to offer price cuts in late November and release 1-2 new GPUs to defend the US$149-249 segment, according to sources from graphics card players.
