With the arrival of increasingly cheaper all-in-one liquid cooling solutions, high-end air cooling firms are having a hard time to maintain their sales volume. Prolimatech responds by introducing Basic, a line of five budget processor cooling solutions.

First up is the Basic 45, a simple aluminium fin tower with two 6mm copper heatpipes. The cooler measures 100mm x 55mm x 125mm (L x W x H) and weighs 288g. It comes with a 92mm PWM fan that spins between 1000-2000RPM.

Next we have the Basic 48, which has three copper heatpipes. It has the same dimensions as the Basic 45 but weighs 309g.

Another step up is the Basic 65, this version measures 130mm x 50mm x 148mm (L x W x H) and features three 6mm thick heatpipes and a 120mm PWM fan that spins at 600 to 1600RPM. The Basic 68 is its premium twin, the main difference being the addition of a fourth heatpipe.

The best performing model is the Basic 81, which is a rebrand of the Megahalems Basic that was introduced in January. This cooler features a Megahalems-like design, it measures 130mm x 75mm x 158mm (L x W x H) and weighs 748g. It offers six 6mm thick heatpipes that transfer heat to two parallel aluminium fin stacks and has a 120mm PWM fan that spins between 600 and 1600RPM.

Pricing and availability is unknown.
