Intel Pentium M 780 starts selling

The unannounced Intel Pentium M 780 processor started selling by some Japanese stores. The Pentium M 780 runs at 2.26GHz, has 2MB L2 cache and uses a 533MHz front side bus (FSB).

The chip is made on the 90nm process and uses a maximum of only 27W. This mobile processor includes the Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology (EIST) and the new Execute Disable Bit (EDB) security technology.

The Japanese stores sell this processor for approx. $685. More info at X-bit Labs
