DigiTimes writes MSI is expected to have shipped 6.5-7 million own-brand motherboards in 2013, landing the company a fourth position in motherboard shipping rankings. ASRock is placed third with shipments of fewer than 7.5 million units, significantly less than the company's goal to reach the 9 million mark in 2013.
ASRock, which originally planned to challenge the nine-million mark in motherboard shipments in 2013, is expected to only ship less than 7.5 million units in the year (3.7 million of them were shipped in the first half of 2013). ASRock shipped 7.7 million motherboards in 2012.

Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) shipped about four million brand motherboards in 2013 and has turned its focus mainly on OEM orders.
