Samsung revealed at Storage Visions in Las Vegas that their 850 SSD will be available this summer. Legit Reviews
spoke to the South Korean electronic giants and got to hear that Samsung doesn't have any SATA Express plans yet as they're trying to feel out the market before investing into it.
With Samsung’s trend for updating their products every year, we should expect to see updates to the Samsung 840 SSD Series, meaning that the Samsung 850 SSD series is in the works. This series will likely consist of the 850 Pro and 850 EVO drives which that will be released in the middle of 2014 (June/July). There should also be an external SSD storage solution down the road, but this will likely hit a different type of consumer because of the sheer cost vs. a traditional external drive. Unfortunately there are no prototypes available for us to see at this time.
