Xbox 360 to launch with 25 games

The Register has posted some more details regarding the Xbox 360 which were disclosed at a media briefing in Dublin on Thursday. Microsoft confirmed the Xbox 360 console will launch together with more than 25 game titles, with a further 160 in development.
There were some things Microsoft has yet to reveal, including pricing and an exact launch date. Rumours abound that the console is set for a worldwide release on 4 November, though Microsoft has not confirmed dates, other than to say it will be on shelves in North America, Europe and Japan for Christmas.
The company confirmed the Xbox 360 will feature three 2GHz cores and a 500MHz ATI graphics chip. The console will feature a 20GB removable HDD and two memory slots are also included.

The article ends with the conclusion of a recent market analysis from Strategy Analysts. They predict Sony's PS3 will win 61 percent of the next-generation console market by 2012. The report further states that Sony will sell 122 million PS3 consoles, Microsoft will sell 59 million Xbox 360 consoles and Nintendo will ship 18 million units by 2012.
