Intel Z97, H97 and X99 chipset details leak

When details about upcoming Intel processors or chipsets leak the information usually originates from Asia and this time is no different. Japanese tech site Hermitage Akihabara published specification sheets of Intel's forthcoming H97, Z97 and X99 chipsets.

The H97 and Z97 support Intel LGA1150 Haswell, Haswell Refresh and Devil's Canyon processors, the H97 has just one PCIe x16 slot while the Z97 can have up to three PCIe slots (1 x16 or 2 x8 or 1 x8 + 2 x4). Another major difference is that Z97 supports overclocking and the H97 doesn't.

Intel 9 series

The X99 on the other hand is intended for LGA2011-3 processors, the new socket used by the upcoming Haswell-E platform. The X99 chipset supports 2 x16 + 1 x8 or 5 x8 PCIe slots, it has the most advanced overclocking options and supports up to 10 SATA 6Gbs ports:
