TPU noticed that AMD expanded its entry-level lineup with the Radeon R5 230. The card is basically a higher-clocked version of the Radeon HD 6450, it's based on the Caicos GPU with 160 stream processors, 8 TMUs and 4 ROPs.

The core is clocked at 625MHz and there's a 64-bit memory bus for 1GB DDR3 memory with a frequency of 1066MHz. Gigabyte is one of the first firms to show off their card, it's a single-slot, half-height model with a tiny cooling solution. Pricing is anticipated to be around the $50 mark.
