TPU writes Noctua is experimenting with cube-base heatpipes to improve the performance of its heatsinks. These new heatpipes originate at the base of the cooler and shoot straight up through the central portion of the aluminium fin array, promising a more evenly distribution of heat. The new heatpipe design is demonstrated at Computex on a variation of the company's NH-U14S heatsink.
